Flying in from the UK?
The nearest and quietest airport is Sarasota [45 mins] but it is not easy to find a flight going into there and UK visitors will have to change flights to come in there..
The nearest airport to fly direct from UK to is Tampa [1hr 45 mins from the house] and BA operate direct flights daily, so this tends to be the most popular choice.
You can also fly into Fort Myers [1hr 30 mins from the house]. You will need to change flights if arriving from the UK but many US carriers operate into here. Easy to access.
You can also fly into Orlando International, Sandford and Miami. The journey from Orlando is usually busy and can take 3.5 to 4 hours. Miami is an easier journey of about 3-3.5 hours
